Kristina - I signed up for Substack, followed all the directions, and ran into a problem. My readers who wanted to subscribe were greeted with an error message, and no one was able to subscribe.
"This connect account cannot currently make live charges. The 'requirements .disabled_reason' property on the account will provide information about why this account is currently disabled. If you are a customer trying to make a purchase, please contact the owner of this site. Your transaction has not been processed."
I can find no help desk, just a bunch of FAQs, none of which fit.
Yes. It apparently took a bit longer for Substack to get everything in place. A couple of days later, my first paid subscriber appeared. Unfortunately, I have several older folks who wish to pay with a check or cash. One 93 year old gentleman sent me four $20 bills in a card. I used my own credit card to award him with a "gift subscription." That seemed to work. Thanks for responding.
