Hi Finn. Thanks. I do understood how it works. My concern is about how far it can be considered a bad trick, because, lets say, if substack engineers want to add this feature it would be too simple and easy. If you cant schedule there should be a reason. The policy only says: "We may intervene to remove accounts engaged in artificial or inauthentic activity on community surfaces.".

I dont know. I loved what you did but I would feel safe if someone from substack team loves too :P

I've spoken to Substack and it's legit to use the scheduler as long as you use it for good! So I'm happy to keep promoting it and inspiring others

You can reach out to Substack and ask them :) It's fine as long as it's a helpful tool and you're not using your account only for promotion and marketing

If somebody used this tool to write 1440 Notes and schedule them for every minute of the day, that would definitely be considered inauthentic activity.

However, this tool still requires you to write those 1440 Notes manually and click the schedule button 1440 times, which is a lot of work. You could save the scheduling effort and just post those notes directly.

This tool was NOT designed to help inauthentic activity. On the contrary, I built it so that writers can focus on writing thoughtful Notes, save drafts, and come back editing them. You can schedule the posting time once you are happy with your note.

I am working a 9-to-5 job and cannot post Notes during the day, so that is one of the reasons I wanted to schedule mine. Many other users live in different time zones and wish to post Notes during the U.S. daytime. These are valid and authentic reasons.

Substack engineers support a community of 30 million+ users and tens of thousands of creators worldwide. They might even have this feature on their roadmap. However, they are busy working on other priorities, so we don't know if and when they will get to it.

I don't have any contacts in that organization, and nobody has contacted me about this Chrome extension. I would happily donate the source code to Substack if that would help them to accelerate their plans.

If you are concerned about using this tool, I recommend waiting until Substack develops this capability.

Hi Madison, based on your comment I already reached out to Substack support for an official statement.

They know my Online Writing Club is for helping people and making their writing life easier. I'm not here to game the system. Neither is Finn.

So I'll share heir response as soon as I get it.

Finn has been promoting his tool for months now and I guess he would have been banned by now 😂
