I knew it felt right to be here on Substack. As someone new to writing online, I couldn't shake this 'weird' feeling on all the other platforms. Then it hit me... there's no community, there's no way to connect with other writers, and there's no way to attract an audience (I started out on Ghost - still love the platform itself, but I can't recommend it for a beginner writer now!).

At the moment some writers are looking for greener pasture on Ghost for instance but for a beginner with no following Beehiv and Substack are much better because there's some kind of network.
