I'm working on a children's book, but I still found your tips to be very valuable, especially the idea of tapping into your network early (for reviews), and stoking curiosity by sharing bits and pieces about the book and the process as part of the run-up to launch. Thank you!!

Thanks Mark! That‘s what I‘ve done with my second children‘s book as well earlier this year. Good luck!

Thank you for sharing this—it’s really insightful. I’ve been on a bit of a different journey. I spent a long time writing and storing my manuscripts before I began publishing on Amazon in December 2025. Since then, I’ve been publishing consistently because I have a lot of content built over time, while still continuing to write.

Recently, I joined Substack, Instagram, and Medium to begin connecting more and establishing my voice. I’m still very much in the learning phase—this is only my second month navigating these platforms. Sometimes it feels like I’m a small eagle learning how to fly—but I’m learning step by step.

I write about identity, courage, and the psychology of modern life. If you’d like to explore my books and ongoing work, you can find them here:

Finding spaces and people like this makes me feel like I’m in the right place. I’m open to learning, and I truly appreciate any insights along the way.

Great tips Gunnar! I published my book in December of 2025 and wasn’t active at all on LinkedIn at the time. What tips do you recommend for authors like me who missed the “behind the scenes” window?

Just shared on LinkedIn... ahhh :))) Was wondering if it's now too late fot post there but was thinking about you and your story of posting in the morning while commuting... so I posted it. Here it's after midnight. Goodnight my friend and thanks again for being one of the rockstars. Happy to do a LIVE with you in the next weeks. Wann würde es dir denn passen? Ich kann ja früh morgens.
