Kristina and I have been working on a collaboration model totally unique TO Substack and absolutley unique ON Substack, in a Kristina God Collab Flywheel kind of way, and your invited.
It's not official yet but jump over to our (yours and mine kind of "our") brand new Substack publication just for us. It officially opens March 30, but this is a quiet little pre-launch invite encouraging you to join us in our permanent 50+ Collab Club home, and there is much more to come so jump on over.
Actually, we've been thinking through our time available to dedicate to the stand alone publication and have concluded I actually don't have the available time considering my focus on the Formula For Life content of on my own substack so we are just going to keep it here in the chat for now.
Your a storyteller with PhD in Economics with decades of experience so you are being humble. You are actually a Titan as I see it reading your Substack. A Titan in my context is someone who is learning to decode, align & thrive beyond surviving chronic illness. Would you like to tell us a little more about your transition to online teaching and why? I'm sure our cohort would love to hear the story.
The transition was hard. After I realized I had to give up teaching, I spiraled for three years. Having to move helped me recover.
While I was teaching face-to-face, I felt like my older students needed something different from the textbook. The book I’ve written (The Economy Always Gets Better) and my Substack are an attempt to help this generation that missed out on an opportunity to learn economics in a supportive atmosphere.
I agree Barb there are quite a few touch points. You have made comments in the chat thread which is the right place and this is the post about the 50+ club. So over in the chat is the right place for long term discussions.
I have a De-Stressing Content Creation Masterclass kicking off in just under 24 hours. Wednesday evening US East Coast time March 4. It'll be a combination of content and connection with break out sessions for participants to share ideas.
I'm testing a totally new format compared to listening to a talking head for an hour or so. It should be fun and informative so you are welcome to join if you want to see what I'm up to in the content creation world.
Hi Tracy, did you see my email and DM regarding the Podcast Bootcamp. My collab partner attend. So I have to find someone new and postpone it to April. Super super sorry but that's the way life goes
I see some familiar faces and some I'm new to, so welcome all.
Charisse, I have to agree with you, where would the substack world be without a dash of Kristina?
Let's start with a simple networking opportunity and subcribe to each other's stacks and while you are there, have a look at what we are all writing about.
Ok, I keep forgetting I'm 50+ 😆. I look at these titles and go, "Oh, dang, that's not me." But it IS me. I'm 56, so I fit the demographic even if my brain hasn't caught up yet!
Soft launch just for you.

Over 65 and writing!
That’s great Nikki, just in your creative prime, what do you write about?
The economy!

That sounds fantastic Nikki.

Thank you, Paul!
Hmmm... I commented somewhere about this, but I don't see it here. Sometimes Substack is SO confusing.

Yes, just saw it! Thank you
Welcome Tracey
Well, 50+ certainly includes me and I think it's finally time to play nice with others.
Welcome aboard Chris, you play nice now... :-)
I am 64. I am interested. I just started my writing journey.
Exciting to be starting a writing journey Donna, welcome.
We are really happy you liked this idea folks.
I see some familiar faces and some I'm new to, so welcome all.

Sober sexagenarian succumbs to suggestion 🥰 Hi 👋
Great headline and glad you've joined us Carolyn
Glad to be here! Thanks for the invite…
Collaboration is always good, especially with like-minded people. Anything that springs from a Kristina course is bound to be good. I'm 66. :)
Ain't that the truth Charisse.
I see my name is already there! But here I am again. Love this idea of collaboration.
Hi Neera, great to see you here and part of the group.

Hey, I resemble that!
Every day I have to remind myself I'm not 27 but 57!
I tell myself I'm still in my 20's Kimberlee but chronologically I'm 58 so yes this is your mob, you belong.
Here's the Chat thread: https://substack.com/chat/443311/post/05dfb141-b0fc-4f2e-8fd8-24334971e1b9
As someone who hit 50+ for the 6th time the day before this post, I love it! Thanks for putting this together.
Happy birthday Jason. Glad we could be such a welcome gift.
Loving this idea .. 66 and almost 67 here.
Can't wait to see your light bulbs shine on this room Carolyn.
