Great article. I'm just starting on Substack, but have been on Medium a long time. I plan on publishing on both platforms.

Thank you for providing this bit of encouragement. The headline gave me a double take, but I'm glad I pushed through and looked it over. :)

I love this idea of allowing an ongoing transformation of your newsletter as you continue to find clarity what you want it to be. I am new here and that is exactly what’s happening.

Thank you Kristina for these wonderful points .

Hello Michael, sure.

I want anyone to build this hybrid.

They can both be in one ecosystem.

I blog every day on Medium and write 1-3 newsletters per week.

I'll soon also share more stories from Medium or at least link to them so you can read them too with a friend link (without paying for them) to help more people

I was worried when I saw the title and got a little scared that starting a newsletter may not have been the right decision, but thank goodness you pointed out something else. Thank you very much for this post, and I've already implemented quite a bit of it. I'm already active on Medium and Substack, as well as on YouTube, Insta and TikTok. But I'm also a little bit looking for a niche right now. I'm a bit active in the fitness and health niche, but also in other areas. Hopefully something will crystallize.

I created a account on medium the other day. Wanted to see how it would go. But I closed down that window pretty fast becasue the site was so slow…. Nothing worked.

Exactly! You can grow and create instead of running about for followers. I am writing and building my following at the same time, and it allows me to be free to write what I like because I know I'm still at a starting level.
