Currently, there are 4,500 active publications on Medium that span more than 30,000 topics each month.
It's true.
There are publications for almost every topic.
In February 2024, 9,000 editors helped 82,000 stories to find the right readers.

A lot has changed since then.
Medium’s CEO Tony Stubblebine announced the Boost program.
130 editors are now paid up to $900 p.m. to find the best stories on the platform.
Writers can earn $100 instead of $10 by getting heavily advertised, recommended, on the platform. In addition, you can quadruple your followers in no time.
Due to this new support, many publication editors and owners who left Medium came back.
More and more people become editors to help publications on Medium and also one day to become Boost nominators.
The publication landscape is flourishing again.
But there is one thing you need to know.
