One thing I wish Substack would fix. If you have multiple publications you can only set up one YT channel for all of them. For instance, I wanted to set my art YT up for my Paper Paint Blood publication and my Vennie Kocsis YT for my other publications, and it will not let me. It would really help. I'd like my lives for VK to go to my VK and my art to go to my DBV channel. So, what I have to do now, is connect the YT channel I want my live to default to and then disconnect and change it to the art channel if I want to stream art. I hope Substack will let us set up a specific channel to a specific publication eventually. That would be a great fix.
In a way a logical step to grow. Its now up to substack to remain substack.
Thats a tricky challenge. As it could become the next algoritm pit.
This is the point to take a seat on the fence and observe what happens, and if that what happens allows you to stay on your own path. Or if it forces you in a different direction.
Good article Kristina. I heard Patricia Ross on GenXy's "The Daily Whatever" yesterday, and she is amazing - 87 and far more articulate and switched on than me - I am very slightly younger!
Regarding the "Live" thing, I have a face made for radio, and have the verbal fluency of a Trappist monk, so will probably just stick to writing, but for those that can, it opens a whole new dimension to Substack that does not exist on Medium, so it seems clear where the future is, particuarly since the Medium earnings crash.
