This really touched my heart and made me think of all of the things my mother did to take care of my and how I do the same for my son. Being a writer helps to express the joys and frustrations that we go through. Thanks for this.

Happy Mother's Day Kristina! Thanks for the mention and all the inspiration you've given to me and so many other writer's. It's so nice to see how your little boy is growing up.

Hi Linda, he's really a wonderful little guy. I'm grateful to have him and ... soon he's going to have a sister.

Lovely and really enjoyed those pics of your little one! Mine’s 15 now (what?! 😭) and it’s been and is quite a ride. Happy Mother’s Day!

Very sweet. We work in so many ways to be heard, but of course, leading with our heart is the best way. Happy Mother’s Day!

I can also add "grandma" to my title and I got to celebrate mom's day with my 2 year old granddaughter's birthday :)

Beautiful post, Kristina. As a mother and writer myself, this struck a chord. I feel like my writing these days is so scanty and rushed. But yes, we keep going. Happy mothers day!

Kristina God's avatar

Scanty and rushed writing... well, I can relate. Let's keep going and cheering each other on, Abha :D Have a wonderful day!

Beautiful! Happy Mother’s Day to you! ❤️🎉 have a wonderful sunny day on the island.

Kristina God's avatar

Hey Burk, Thanks. All the best for your wife as well. A few weeks back, we visited Nordstrand when we were in Husum.

Burk's avatar

Oh cool. How did you like it?

Kristina God's avatar

You know that I'm pregnant so the trip was really exhausting for me so... Nordstrand looks really idyllic. I love that it's so close to the mainland and Husum with the hospital and doctors. Plus, there's a lovely kindergarten on Nordstrand. Do you have any tips for our next trip? Hopefully, next time we'll spend more time there ^^ How did you spend Mother's Day with your wife?

Burk's avatar

I know. I bet it was. It is idyllic. Not as beautiful as Sylt with the sand beaches and dunes but quieter and less crowded. And yes the connection to the mainland is great. You know tips are difficult. They aren’t really tourist attractions. But for summer it’s nice to go to Fuhlehörn with your little boy. We spent the day on our backyard on the sun.

Kristina God's avatar

Just googled it and found that you can take a carriage ride from Fuhlehörn to the Hallig Südfall. Definetly a great tip. And a restaurant tip with 1/2 children?

Burk's avatar

Yes you can. But you have to book early. It’s always full. Restaurants. A popular one is called Zur Nordsee. But I like a small bistro called Strandkorb at Holmer Siel a lot more.

Thank you for the mention Kristina. It is indeed hard being a mother & a writer. It can often make us feel not enough. Someone else is writing 3000 words a day whereas you are barely into your first paragraph when the little one demands attention.

But we keep going & therein lies the magic!

Kristina God's avatar

Hi Zarine, we keep going and pushing :D 3000 words per day is huge. A part-time mom-writer can pump out this amount of words BUT could not keep up with the pace. Better we writer short and sweet stories from the heart and keep the writing hula hoop spinning this way. All the best for you! Hugs, Kristina

That makes sense yes Kristina. A short story a day to keep the wheels spinning. Hugs & you are awesome!
