Hi Valeria! 87% is definitely huge, and writing in English helps big time to grow since there are more creators with whom to collaborate. But it doesn't mean that it's not possible to build a newsletter in other languages. You can find other channels where your audience hangs out and go for it!
Hi Valeria! That’s awesome—I’m from Germany too! It’s great to see more and more creators from all over Europe joining in. And exciting news—I’ll soon be launching a German newsletter as well! Don’t worry, you’re not alone in this journey. I’ll send you a DM so you can join us. Also, as a fellow mom, I’d love to support you along the way! 😊
I’m researching how 45 top Substack newsletters differentiate their free and paid content. It’ll be for my paid members, but I’d happily share a few key highlights during our session.
As Kristina shared, I gathered publicly available data from 75K Substack newsletters through a data scraping technique. So, it's not a manual work. To do this, I worked with a data scraper. Then, I worked with a data analyst to check accuracy and turn the raw data into meaningful tables for my analysis.
So, there is a long process behind it. :)
I'm happy to connect and answer your questions if you have more.
But if you can't make it, she took publicly available data from 75000 newsletters and also checked what the orange badge newsletters are doing differently and so on. Worth checking out. If you'll bed already by then... I'll share the replay of course. Hope all is well.
Sure, totally get that. Thanks for showing up yesterday though :) I also have some LIVEs next week. Substack SHINE with me about promoting yourself on Monday 2pm EST and then one session with Ayo about irresistible offers on Friday but not sure what time yet
If 87% of these newsletters are in English, I assume that even all the Substack growth strategies only work for the English network. 🙄😰
Pity. I would have join the writing school 😓

“We shall name you - Monarch of Analysis 👸.”
Thank you so much Mike, this comment really made my day! ☺️
I'm so glad 👸
She's really good and share more reports in the future. Was a great session yesterday. Will share the replay soon
Thank you for having me, Kristina. I really enjoyed it!
Hi Ciler, you know what… since I had to jump from one Zoom to the next.,… I missed recording our session. It’s the first time and I’m really sorry.
I thought on the screen it said it would record… Guess for both of us it was pretty late^^ ususally I’m recording via two machines and the cloud…
So I was thinking… why not offering one more session 45 min so I can also share the recording. Most watch the recordings. Sorry for that.
No problem, Kristina—these things happen!
We can have another session sometime next week.
I plan to publish another report this week.

Excited to watch it!
Thank you, Janet; I'd love to hear your thoughts about the discussions!
Thanks Cilier
Can’t wait! 😊
Gonna be legendary :)
How is possible to analalyze 75.000 Substacks?
Hi Valentin, thanks for the question!
