I started writing online in December 2020 in the cracks of time—in my bathrobe, during naptime of my baby boy, in the evening, after midnight when my baby was awake.
I launched “Kristina’s Newsletter” in fall 2022 with zero subscribers and zero income.
In January 2024, I relaunched my newsletter and called it “The Online Writing Club”

How I’m Doing “It”
I built this newsletter and community during nap times, stroller walks, and evenings. While being pregnant or feeling sick.
I monetized my skills: I studied journalism and media communications and worked as a consultant, being a brand and marketing manager.
I worked with well-known brands and helped NGOs.
Writing + marketing = my unfair advantage
Taking the things I’ve learned from Medium and bringing them over to Substack.
I had no true “viral” moment (up to 600 likes max (as far as I know)). Just showing up on Notes consistently.
